[size=2]Roxette的十年:10年,对于流行乐坛来说,是一段多么漫长的岁月。成批的乐队走红冒尖,又有成批的乐队渐归沉寂,潮流之变让人耳不暇接无所适从。而最终能够始终跻身流行浪尖的,不过是那么屈指可数的几支。由Marie Fredriksson和Per Gessle组成的瑞典二人组合Roxette已经在全球英文流行乐坛上叱吒了整整10年。10年前一首“The Look”为他们在多个国家的排行榜上夺得冠军,10年来他们的热门单曲一支接一支,唱片总销量突破4千万,全球巡回演唱会也取得巨大成功。
让我们追溯历史,回顾一下这支乐队神奇的巨星历程。
1958年——Marie Fredriksson生于瑞典Stra Ljungby。
1959年——Per Gessle生于瑞典Halmstad。
1967年——Per买了他的第一张唱片--Kinks乐队的“The Kink Kontroversy”, 卖者是他的哥哥,后者需要5克朗的钱去买烟。从此Per开始不断收集唱片。
1973年——受到David Bowie的影响, Per把自己的头发染成五颜六色,并且堂而皇之走过街头,让路人瞠目结舌,Per为此很得意。

1978年——Marie加入一支名为Strul的乐队担任歌手及钢琴手。Per则在另一支名为Gyllene Tider的乐队身兼主唱、吉它手及歌曲作者。在向许多唱片公司自荐没有成功之后,Gyllene Tider自掏腰包出版单曲唱片。
1979年——在听了那张单曲唱片后,EMI公司签下Gyllene Tider乐队。
1980-81年——Gyllene Tider乐队逐渐在瑞典走红,单曲、大碟、演唱会都大获成功。而在另一边,Marie正与她的Strul乐队苦苦挣扎,乐队试着出版了一张单曲,但是如泥牛入海毫无反响。
1982年——Strul更名为MaMas Barn自行出版了一张大碟,惨败。
1983年——Per推出了他的个人大碟,之中他令人吃惊地哼起了民谣。
1984年——风水轮流转,Marie以个人名义录制了突破性的大碟“Het Vind”, 取得不错反响。而与此同时,Gyllene Tider走上下坡路,乐队试图打入国际市场,在美国发行了最后一张唱片“Heartland Cafe”,用的是新队名“Roxette”,结果在Billboard榜上一败涂地。
1985年——Gyllene Tider乐队解散。Per录制第二张个人大碟“Scener”, 成为他卖得最差的一张唱片。而Marie的第二张个人大碟却使她跻身瑞典最知名女子摇滚歌手之列。
1986年——在EMI公司的提议下, Per和Marie携手合作以Roxette乐队的名义推出单曲“Neverending Love”。此曲在当年夏天成为瑞典热门单曲。公司方面只是把它安排为一次临时性的合作,但是Marie还是决定与Per的Roxette乐队合作下去。于是原本打算录制在Per第三张个人大碟中的歌曲被用在Roxette乐队的首张大碟“Pearls Of Passion”中,唱片推出后获得成功,其中单曲“Neverending Love”还打入了欧洲其它国家的排行榜。
1987年——Roxette在瑞典各地巡演,为数十万的乐迷表演。演出间隙,Marie挤出时间推出了第三张个人大碟“After Stormen”,其中单曲“It Must Have Been Love”在瑞典成为电台点播大热门。
1988年——Roxette推出第二张乐队大碟“Look Sharp!” ,并且再次在瑞典举行巡演。唱片在瑞典取得不错销量,不过在国外毫无反响。直到有一天,有一名从瑞典返回美国的留学生带回Roxette的这张唱片,并且交给明尼阿波利斯的KDWB电台要求点播其中单曲“The Look”。电台复制了这张唱片并且在节目里播放,结果播出后不少听众打电话进来要求重播,于是这首单曲逐渐转录播放于各个电台并逐渐扩散,结果Roxett在美国未做任何唱片发行和宣传,却拥有了一首热门单曲“The Look”。
1989年——EMI得知此情,迅速在美国发行了细碟“The Look”。同年3月,该曲在美国排行榜上攀至首位。之后在24个国家的排行榜上称雄。 到了10月,另一支单曲“Listen To Your Heart”也取得了相当殊荣。结果大碟“Look Sharp!”在全球销出800万张。
1990年——重新录制的“It Must Have Been Love”在6月间成为乐队的第三支美国榜冠军单曲,该曲被用在电影“Pretty Woman”(风月俏佳人)的原声碟中,后者销出了9百万张。
1991年——Roxette推出第三张大碟“Joyride”。大碟同名单曲成为冠军单曲。9月4日,名为“Join The Joyride”的Roxette全球巡演在芬兰赫尔辛基鸣响锣鼓。乐队在欧洲、澳洲、美国和南美共演出了108场。巡演最终于92年7月22日在瑞典首都斯德哥尔摩降下帷幕。共有170万观众观看了Roxette的现场。巡演结束,“Joyride”唱片的销量也达到了1千万张。
1992年——“How Do You Do!”成为Roxette第4张大碟“Tourism”的热门单曲。该大碟主要收录的是Roxette巡演其间的现场录音。同年,Marie继续她的个人音乐生涯,推出一张瑞典语的大碟。
1993年——Roxette成为第一支受邀请参加MTV Unplugged演出的非英语国家乐队。同年Marie成为未婚母亲。而Per Gessle则娶妻成家。
1994年——Roxette推出第4张大碟“Crash! Boom! Bang!”。秋季,Roxette展开第二次全球巡演,其中在欧洲演出47场。
1995年——Roxette的全球巡演开至南非、澳洲、东南亚及日本。并且在北京体育馆1万1千名中国人面前演出。巡演结束后,Roxette推出精选大碟“Don't Bore Us--Get To The Chorus”。回到瑞典,Gyllene Tider乐队成员重聚一起在Halmstad举行了一次演出,观众及传媒反响热烈,要求乐队重组并推出新唱片。
1996年——Roxette在这一年的前半段进入休整,没有任何活动。而Per倒为Gyllene Tider乐队写了4首瑞典语歌曲并推出EP。Gyllene Tider的重组成为该年瑞典乐坛的热点,乐队推出了精选碟、举行了全国巡演、占领了排行榜、捧走了多个奖项。到了年底,Gyllene Tider功成名就,退出乐坛。另一边,Marie也没闲着,她推出了第5张个人大碟,并生下第二个孩子。该年秋季,又推出一张西班牙语唱片“Baladas En Espanol”, 在西班牙、阿根廷、智利、墨西哥等国家受到欢迎。
1997年——Per推出个人大碟“The World According To Gessle”。
1998年——1月,Roxette重新上路,乐队飞往西班牙开始第6张大碟的录制。 最终在11月完成。
